This is a true rarity ! This is a private press live release from longtime bluesman Don McMinn recorded at The Rum Boogie Cafe 3rd & Beale Sts.in Memphis, Tn. in (I believe) 1984. The cover, being a private pressing, has that bootleg look about it but is very well done. The front cover features a drawing of Don signed by William Collins 1984 (hence my assumption of the recording date) which is very nicely done (see photo). The back is fairly plain but features the same drawing in a smaller reproduction and lists the song titles along with this blurb "Holding forth nightly at the Rum Boogie Cafe 3rd and Beale St in Memphis Tn., Don McMinn and the Rum Boogie Band play everything from blues and boogie-woogie to reggae. The theme of this Beale St. bistro/restaurant is good times being had by all. Good music ! Good food ! Good times ! Enjoy, Don McMinn" . The back cover also contains the autographs inscribed to a girl/woman named Sue. There is the name Mojo Buford in the upper left hand corner. I do NOT believe this to be an autograph unless Mojo had VERY limited writing abilities as it is printed and appears to be almost childlike. I have never seen Mojo's writing or met him so it is possible that he could write no better than this but I doubt it. The cover is also signed and inscribed to Sue by Don McMinn, Doug McMinn, & Norma Jean Watts with what are legitimate signatures. The autographs are in blue ink, are clearly visible and legible as are the greetings to Sue included, and are not on top of any text except for the McMinn part of DOUG McMinn's signature. Don's autograph also includes the little guitar drawing as normal. The vinyl appears brand new. The cover has some spotting and aging to its' very white background as well as some corner dings and a number of creases. I state this for accuracy so you know upfront. Having said that, the cover is still solidly presentable and the autographs well preserved. You absolutely are not going to find another one of these, period !!! Not factoring in the autographs it is a rarity. With them added it is likely one of a kind and IF the Mojo Buford would happen to be a true signature, wow ! Overseas bidders are very welcome here but shipping to overseas customers will be determined by a Post office quote at auction's end !!! You will be covering my expenses and NOT paying ridiculous "fees" but you MUST wait for an invoice with this amount added. If you ignore theses instructions and pay the lower U.S. rate, your money will be refunded and the process will be repeated correctly. Also, I will not mark customs declaration forms as a "gift" or state any reduced value on your purchase. That is against Ebay policy and, more importantly, illegal.
