Description
For sale here we have what must be one of the recorded pinnacles of Brit Jazz;-
Don Rendell/Ian Carr Quintet LP Dusk Fire on the Blue Columbia label SX6064.
A near mint copy of this LP recently sold on Ebay for over £800, however the one I'm selling here unfortunately has no sleeve and hasn't had one for a while judging by the handwritten 15 shilling price on the white masterbag sleeve, (note also the scribbled out Jim Reeves title!)
The record itself has lovely sheen and could be described as excellent if it weren't for a 1cm scratch at the end of the last track (Dusk Fire). This is just about audible for the last 30 or so seconds as a click under the squealing sax.
So I am starting this at a sensible price, without reserve, to reflect it's condition.
If you have a knackered copy in a nice sleeve then lucky you!
