Description
Fans of the golden era of British modern jazz will want to get their hands on this excellent copy of the 1955 Decca pressing (LK 4087) of Modern Jazz at The Royal Festival Hall, London, featuring the Don Rendell Sextet, The Ken Moule Seven, and The Tony Crombie Orchestra featuring Dizzy Reece. Exciting music, brilliantly performed.
The vinyl has no significant marks and plays through great, grading close to Excellent – just the very occasional tic and minor surface noise here and there. Labels also close to excellent.
The thin laminated sleeve – so often falling to bits on these rare jazz LPs over 60 years old – is in very decent shape. It's been carefully taped at the spine, rear bottom corner and the opening edge and this has protected it well over the years – a bit of minor creasing but no writing, tears or major damage.
Plain white inner sleeve.
