Description
Disguised as Joe Samuels, Don Voorhees plays Howdy Quicksell's "Pardon the Glove" on rare and apparently undocumented Variety 5065. It's a hot arrangement with two trumpet solos, and guitar and clarinet solos. The stated matrix number is 2380C2; matrix 2380C appeared on Cameo 1134 and Romeo 369. I don't have the Cameo or the Romeo, so I can't tell you if this issue differs from them musically.

On the flip side, "Don Silver's Dance Orchstra" -- perhaps the Broadway Broadcasters? -- plays a more-hip-than-expected "Somebody Said," mx. 222A1.
In general, this record is in E- condition visually. It is a somewhat noisy pressing. The "Glove" side is pressed slightly off center, but not enough to detract from enjoymment of the music. On the "Said" side, a 3/8-inch scratch at the beginning sounds lightly for a few revolutions.
