Description
This is the first pressing of classic album Byrd in Hand by Donald Byrd Mono, RVG Stamped, Ear, deep groove, 47th West 63rd labels. The record is sound checked.
Two of my favorites saxophonists, Pepper Adams (bs) and Charlie Rouse (ts) join Donald Byrd on this early classic Blue Note outing from 1959. Byrd lends his name to yet another play on words, Black Byrd in Flight Hand. Walter Davis Jr comping on piano.
Jacket: VG Laminated cover, nice and shiny on the front, back has aging and writing, wear on corners, seams and spine had splits and were neatly fixed, please see pictures and examine carefully.
Record: G+ to VG overall had good playback with some moderate to low background noise, plays better than looks with signature Blue Note sound, the record has several feelable scratches on each side, side 1 has repetitive skip (1 minute from the beginning).
