ALBUM SIGNIFICANCE

A genuine "lost" Blue Note session — recorded in 1969 and 1970 but left in the vault until 1995, making this one of the rare Byrd dates collectors couldn't get on original wax at any price. Duke Pearson's electric piano work here points toward the fusion direction Byrd would later chase commercially, backed by Ron Carter and a Brazilian-tinged percussion section (Airto Moreira, Dom Um Romão). This is the 2013 Heavenly Sweetness 180-gram reissue, pressed in France.

All albums are professionally cleaned and shipped with a new inner sleeve and protective outer jacket to ensure long-term preservation.
