I am reluctantly selling some of my jazz LP collection that I have put together over the past 30 years. Look at my other acutions for more LPs and in the weeks to come I will be listing others.
This copy of Donald Byrd's Tansition LP (TRLP 5), Byrd-Jazz is in really decent condition for a 50+ year old record. It is the finest copy of this LP that I have come upon in my many years of chasing down jazz records, even though it is far from perfect.
The jacket is in solid VG condition. As you know, the seams will split on these if you look at them! There are corner dings and two partial seam splits. The corner ding on the lower self corner has given way to a slight loss of the slick in that area. Thre is slight delamination in the upper right corner. All in all, not a bad cover at all--ESPECIALLY for a Transition cover! Unfortunately the original booklet is missing.
The disc itself is also in VG condition with multiple scuffs and hairlines. Again, it's not beat to death, but far from perfect. Still, this is a solid copy of an EXTREMELY rare old jazz LP. The labels are both intact and attached (if you know anything about Transtion LPs you know this is fairly rare!).
