Description

Up for auction is Blue Note BLP 4060, Donald Byrd At the Half Note Cafe - Jazz at the Waterfront Volume 1, featuring Pepper Adams, Duke Pearson, Laymon Jackson, and Lex Humphries. Records bear the West 63rd NYC address, deep groove, and RVG imprint. 
Sleeve: NM, with virtually no signs of wear on the front excepting one scuff on the front cover that blends into the brick background so well it's basically invisible, the spine has no visible wear, and the back has a small line of writing in blue pen with the date "August 10, 1961" and some slight discoloration near the bottom. 
Record: side 1 - EX+ stamped with "review copy" on label and with one slight scratch in track one, otherwise pristine; side 2 - NM with only extremely minor scuffing from being taken out of the sleeve, perhaps never played. 


I am a university professor of music here in the US who inherited this and other records from a collector a few years back. I am looking to sell off some of these records to collectors/audiophiles who can get more enjoyment out of them than I can.
