An original and genuine very 1st UK press of CAPTAIN. Take a look on-line at other "so called 1st pressings". Notice anything? They are ALL on the BURBANK label. ACTUAL 1st press was on these solid green Warner labels. At 1st press the Doobies were yet to break into the UK market. Consequently this was a slow burner - and only a few copies were pressed at 1st release on this early Warner label. This copy is super early and preserved to an amazing level. If you're looking for a show stopping copy - take a good look at this one. Matrix A1/B1. Etching 'Kipper'. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with sealed front opening. We also have the original generic white inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A beautiful copy and has only seen very lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Super quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Literally plays clean as a whistle from start to finish. If you need super-fidelity you came a knockin' at the right door! This baby will deliver the goods totally perfect audio. I've never witnessed a better performer on this title - and I doubt I ever will. This is high praise indeed. The record basically sounds like you've just purchased it in '73. On any vintage LP this highly unusual. Clean into even the lowest key tinkering sections. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex+) Wowzer! Had to do a double take when I picked this bad boy up. is it really a 1973 copy? Hell yeah! Truly unbelievable level of preservation. Front and rear are so good it looks like it was printed yesterday! Perfect colour retention and no bends or wear. Interior looks perfect. Hardly any edge wear at all. Lovely firm and unworn openings. The spine is 100% intact with NO WEAR. Absolutely superb rigidity - how could you ever better this copy! FINAL UPGRADE.
