Original UK Elektra label stereo 1970 press double LP.
  This is the first live album by the Doors, released in July 1970. The tracks were recorded on their 'Roadhouse Live' tour between July 1969 and May 1970. The album cover photo art was taken from an earlier tour and much to Jim Morrison's disgust, although the inner photos were from the tour. Several of the songs are cut together from different concerts, but it is the first release of the 'Celebration of the Lizard' recorded in New York in Janurary 1970!

This is the original first issue, with the red big E elektra labels, dropped in 1971 for the Elektra butterfly labels and the earliest A-1 B-1 C-1 D-1 matrices and matching 1-1- stampers.   The MacNeill Press matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light storage rubbing and some corner/edge wear, with light creasing on the cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, but slightly crushed. The plain company inners are intact & in VG+ condition, with some light creasing and yellowing.   The records are in visually EX condition, sides 1 & 2 have a couple of faint hairlines & one or two small marks/bag scuffs and sides 3 & 4 have a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on sides 1 & 2 and one or two faint spindle markings on sides 3 & 4.   The sound reproduction is EX, clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves & very briefly in a couple of the quieter passages. Overall it is still a really great, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are;
2409003, A-1 stamper 1-1-3. B-1 stamper 1-1-5, 2409004 C-1 stamper 1-1-4, D-1 stamper 1-1-7. This is one of the early pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
