Description
This is part of a larger auction of original, 1950's-era blues, doo-wop & R&B 45's. For this round, the focus is on smaller labels like Ace, Baton, Ember, Aladdin and more. There are several nice rarities and a handful of bonus listings of records on *really* small labels.

Release: The Fabulous Pearls – Jungle Bunny / My Heart's Desire
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1957
Notes: Yellow label 1st pressing with blue logo. The only record released by this group that was formed at McCord Air Force Base in Tacoma, WA. They recorded six other tracks that ended up not being released. This was actually a controversial record back in the day. It's a stellar song, but one that flopped due to racial overtones. The side on which the stamp is located indicates this was sent out during the short period after Bunny flopped and Dootsie was trying to parlay the flip side into a hit.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is very clean with almost no cosmetic wear at all. It has been play tested and plays great with no pops or skips, minimal to no background noise. Sound is fantastic. Labels are nice and clean as well with just some very light scuffing and stamped "THIS SIDE PLEASE". No writing, tears or stickers. Top notch copy of this one.
