Description
This is part of a large auction featuring blues, R&B and doo-wop, from several different labels - a real mix this time with a nice selection of unusual small label stuff. There are a handful of Aladdin and King, but there are also some one offs from Ivy, Home of the Blues and more.

Release: The Fabulous Pearls - Jungle Bunny / My Heart's Desire
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1959
Notes: Yellow label first pressing. The only single released by this vocal group that was formed at McCord Air Force Base. The a-side to this one caused some controversy when it was revealed the title was based off racist graffiti encountered as a child by Elsie Hall. The b-side was then promoted without success, this one has a stamp on the b-side indicating it was sent out at that time. It's a fantastic record that is largely unknown.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in nice shape and super-clean with almost no wear at all, just a couple of very small hairline marks. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are very nice, with no tears or stickers but they do have little discolored spot on one side and a stamp on the other. This is a top notch copy overall.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in a couple of weeks for another auction: R&B/doo-wop/blues 78's.
