Unusually for any band, this was recorded before they had a major record contract. This EP was really recorded as part of a documentary by Campbell Films Ltd. No doubt it helped then get their eventual contract with Columbia later in 1964.
What is certain is that this is their rarest record by far, as Contrast Sound Productions did not have a real distribution contract with any of the big distributors.

Condition – Cover
G-. Both the top and bottom seems are virtually split. A previous owner has also taped the rear cover as you can see from the pictures. This may be removeable, but I will leave that to the winning bidder. There is also a scuff to the top flipback and another near the top corner. There is also a previous owners name on the rear.Condition – Record
VG. Given the condition of the cover, the vinyl is a pleasant surprise. While there are a fair few marks, these all appear shallow and should not affect play. I've just played it on my system and it plays through perfectly. Could even grade a bit higher. While it does not have the engineering quality of a more professional recording, it is truly evocative of clubs at that time.There are also a couple of authentic tax stamps on the label. Chappel Group Control was a music publishing company.
