Description
Their 1st and (I feel) best album, sublime British old- timey R&B/Beat, with great vox, guitar, harmonica and atmosphere. It's of a similar ilk as The Pretty Things' early offerings. Needless to say the music rocks the joint !! This is the original 1st pressing and the front of the album cover is autographed by ALL members! The ballpoint ink has faded somewhat, but it's clear enough. The laminated flipback cover is in VG-/VG nick with some stains, especially on the back, although it looks much worse in the photo due to contrast from the scanner. There is some writing on the upper right hand corner of the back cover: "From a Dutch girl in Sweden/Stockholm mei '65" and a name. I presume that the autographs were given in Sweden; The Sect were pretty big in Sweden and they gigged there often. The disc is visually a VG+/VG++, but a very strong player with no skips or jumps. I'd say it plays EX-/EX. The Columbia Blue/Blacks were state of the art quality pressings and most of the marks you don't hear in the music, mostly between the tracks. Cosmetically there are some flaws, but it plays great and the bonus points of collectability are its rarity and the fact that it has been autographed by all the guys.
