Dear record lover,
This auction is for an original UK pressing of Heavy Petting by Dr Strangely Strange (see below for specific details).
This is one of a number of rare or collectable vinyl records we are auctioning, or selling at a fixed price, on an ongoing basis.

Label/catalogue number: Vertigo 6360 009
Territory of origin/year of release: UK, 1970
Overall condition: VG
Sleeve: VG, with a two-inch tear below the Vertigo logo top right (see pic). Some light creasing and wear to the spine and seams, and loss of adhesion. But, crucially, the foldout parts of this sleeve are all there and in good shape, which is unusual!
Vinyl: VG, with several light marks but no major blemishes or scratches. It plays well.
Label: VG, with some spindle marks.
Inners/inserts: Vertigo swirl inner in EX condition.
General notes: This LP is the rarer of the band's two releases, and its value has been rising steadily (see Popsike.com for evidence of its occasional appearances on the market). The matrix numbers on this LP were machine-etched into the run-off groove, guaranteeing its authenticity and differentiating it from some counterfeits that have emerged.
