and unplayed or played very few times, AND/OR THE BEST COPIES POSSIBLE of many choice records.

Purchased: NEW. FANTASTIC NM 1st UK edition of these superb 1970 2nd LP recordings by this top acid folk band backed by a few stellar supporting/contributing musicians who have played with other top bands like drummer Dave Mattacks & guitarist Gary Moore! Yet more always uncompromising experimental improvisational recordings by this/these fine folk-rock zone troopers. Once again this player/these players demonstrate a unique affinity and collective mindset for producing such telepathic improvisation. It doesn't always work well but when it does like here it's absolutely glorious! Worth the price of admission for those who are experimentally inclined and not uptight or inclined to become prejudicially divided (as all of us need to be unified worldwide to stave off the stifling New World Order and their tyrannical diabolical aspirations to enslave us all). Beware and please don't be too square! 

No doubt you've noticed that over the last couple of years as well as recently there have been & still are a number of original copies offered in varying conditions. However, the ONLY UK copy represented that appears to me to have been marginally/slightly better than this copy is the one that set the record selling for the most money at over 2,000.00 GBP. Consequently I've set my BIN a bit lower than that apparent jewel but slightly higher than another current copy that's not moving priced around $1,500.00 (currently reduced to under $1,200.00) which quite frankly pales in comparison to this one due to a well damaged cover and considerably lesser vinyl. If you want to own & play this copy you're going to have to pay what I believe to be a very fair price for it all things considered. It goes without saying that I stand behind the accuracy of my grading and ultimately guarantee your satisfaction. I DON'T believe in excessive hype but I DO promote what I perceive to be relevant, as well as hyping the music itself sometimes when I'm particularly enamored with it, being a musician myself. So feel free to make an offer if you like and you may be rewarded accordingly with a pretty fine copy of this early Vertigo jewel! 

FYI upon my initial BIN or best offer listing of this LP in late 2013 (which garnered many more offers than the re-list here) a potential buyer in Italy offered $1,300.00 but sadly for me it was configured to reject anything quite that low at that time. I hate taking WAY  less now than I would have gotten back then, but a substantially lesser offer OF BEST OFFER LOW END $675.00 AS OF MAY 21ST, 2019 WILL NOW WIN IT!! Please make serious offers & take note that if you are a non U.S. buyer & live in a country which extorts money from buyers via excessive immoral customs import duty taxes, I will be happy to declare the LP for considerably less on the customs form! HOWEVER, you must let me know upon payment!! Otherwise it will be shipped with a pre-printed online address label from PayPal meaning it will be declared for the full value!

Cover Condition: EX(+) elaborate gate-fold die-cut gimmix with little appreciable surface wear since leaving the factory & lovingly cared for since then by yours truly! Some relatively modest/moderate edge-wear/rub-off on sides (lower portion of right one has a couple of bad scuffs which is the worst aspect of this otherwise superbly preserved gimmix gem along with the irregularities shown on the one flap in photo #3) + moderate rub-off around corners & on bottom edge. The thin delicate spine which is oh so prone to wear being on the fold over flaps that rest on the bottom still show most of the text albeit being somewhat rubbed off. There must be relatively few copies in existence that show the complete text undamaged and if you are an owner of such a miraculously preserved cover then you should consider yourself extremely fortunate indeed! Very close to a perfect copy otherwise with minimal creasing present and very little appreciable damage to the intricate flaps and die-cuts which are oh so prone to creasing and/or tearing!

Inner Sleeve: Original Vertigo poly-bag augmented with an additional sheer plastic lined sleeve to protect the pristine vinyl from poly-bag swirl transfer imprinting which can and often does contribute to deleterious fidelity given time.

Record Condition:  Looks very well preserved M- OR EX+ with minimal hairlines/sleeve-wear and plays at least the same superb EX(+) both before & after cleaning on a VPI HW-17 with little in the way of any background noise present throughout. I've  played this (my sole copy) quite sparingly at most 6-7 times total I reckon over the 4 decades I've owned it! Plus many years ago I recorded it to tape, thus listening to it more that way. No upgrade realistically desired or required as there's certainly very little room for improvement excepting a virtually un-played Stone Mint Immaculate as new copy! Nowadays  probably few exist as good as this one world-wide!! This is really excellent music here featured in an intimate musical setting providing some cosmic sounds that can send one into the stratosphere if they're ready, willing and able! So now it's your move! MORE SPECIFICS: Track A2 has a small audible scratch beginning at 1:03 and ending at 1:12 that makes 6 clicks with 5 being moderately loud and the 6th fairly faint due to the louder musical content & drums etc. Track A3 has some minor background crackle right near the beginning that's very brief & tracks A4, B2, B3 & B6 have a few random detectable minor background noise subtle pops each coinciding with what I said above originally ie."with little in the way of any background noise present throughout". Track A5 my personal favorite and arguably the crown jewel of the entire LP with Gary Moore's lovely guitar arabesques has 5-6 very light detectable background pops or clicks right near the end of the song. I'll only add that this LP is much harder to specifically grade than most albums are due to it being far less uniform in it's overall musical content which constantly varies & changes within most tracks back and forth from more folky & quieter to more rock oriented and louder with drums and electric guitar.  PLEASE ACT SOON TO STILL LOCK IN NOTEWORTHY PRICE SAVINGS!! IT"S STRICTLY YOUR MOVE NOW....OR NOT AS IT"S NOT GOING LOWER!!  THERE WERE 9 WATCHERS OF THE FIRST DR. STRANGELY STRANGE LP WHEN I ENDED IT ON JANUARY 2ND/3RD 2017 WITHIN 3 DAYS OF MENTIONING IN THE LISTING THAT IT WOULD BE ENDED ON DECEMBER 31ST IF THERE WEREN'T ANY TAKERS BY THEN!! WELL DESPITE MY DECISION SINCE TO RE-LIST IT, APPARENTLY I ALIENATED ALL OF THE FORMER WATCHERS BY DELETING IT, AS THERE ARE NO WATCHERS SINCE. SO BE IT!! THE FICKLE FINGER OF FATE MAY YET GIVE ME A BREAK AS I OFFER IT AGAIN IN UNISON WITH THIS LP FOR $50.00 LESS THAN I STATED I WOULD EVER BEFORE BUT IT MAY BE ENDED AGAIN WITHIN JUST OVER 2 MONTHS AS I INDICATED!!

Label Condition: A=EX with what appears to be 4-6 wild/stray spindle marks, whereas B=M- with a couple of very faint spindle marks.

Remember that gate-folds usually weigh more so I've tried to establish a medium based on that.

RATES UPDATE-as of June 2013: Since the January 27th U.S. postal rates increases some foreign buyers have automatically been sending me $24.15 in checkout (despite my posted $19.00 rate) which I thank you all for as that's frequently been my exact cost to ship one LP double boxed. However when I've used 2 boxes recently (a regular size/weight box I use for all domestic shipping packed like it's ready to ship by itself inserted with bubble wrap taped surrounding it within a larger much heavier cardboard outer box) it's actually been costing me $26.00 more often than $24.15(regardless of gate-fold or not), thus my additions to the rates. Please remember again that I'm paying for all of my packing materials which are factored in accordingly as already noted below. It's your call!

MY PRESERVATION POLICY on many records that I revered was simple and I share it with you now so that you understand why you take virtually no risk buying from me providing the album was bought new and not used originally. When I'd buy a "new" album and it was something I liked a lot and still available (most of my new albums were purchased in the early-mid 1970's!) I'd initially play it between 15-25 times to become familiar with it and then sell it to a friend as a still EX+ well preserved nice copy. (Adding outer & inner plastic sleeves was standard procedure additionally limiting cover wear and/or hairline paper sleeve marks.) Then I'd buy another new copy and in some cases if a particular favorite then yet another, meaning that I only played the 2nd copy (now my 1st) 5-10 times and the 3rd (now my 2nd if I kept 2) once or twice, always initially taping or now in more recent years currently burning to disc 1 copy within the first couple of  plays thus significantly limiting play to this day on most of my lps. I did/do this with many single copy rarities as well so most play was/is on tapes or cd-rs. I bought a lot of CDs of favorite things also which further helped preserve my vinyl and limit play of much of it. Sometimes I also acquired rare British and European vinyl which I never saw imported in stores and sold new in the United States or Canada from contacts I established through mail correspondence during the 1970's. I developed contacts in England, France, Germany, Holland & Norway. Be aware that the MAJORITY of albums or occasionally 45's that I list ARE FREQUENTLY my ONLY COPIES so bid accordingly as you'll not likely see most of them listed by me again.
