Description


The return of the most powerful Dream Theater by returning to their roots! Deluxe collector's box set of "Distance Over Time", the first album after the transfer to Sony.
Dream Theater's 14th album "Distance Over Time" will be released simultaneously worldwide. Since their debut in 1989, Dream Theater has been a leader in the progressive metal world. 
The band's musicality is so rich that it cannot be described in one word "HR/HM," and its appeal lies in its extremely broad musicianship and melodies filled with melancholy, weaving jazz, fusion, classical, and other styles dramatically around a heavy metal core. 
The Astonishing" was a two-hour rock opera with an orchestra. With this album, a fresh start after moving labels, the band had only one goal in mind: "to get back to our roots and make more music. They wanted to return to their roots and make a more organic album" (G: John Petrucci). 
The recording session took place at Yonder Barn, a secluded studio on a five-acre site in Monticello, New York, where the band members worked 12 to 14 hours a day for four months, eating and sleeping together for the first time in 20 years, and enjoying a barbecue between sessions.
