Up for auction is my virgin-never-played mint condition copy of the Drive By Truckers first ever release; "Bulldozers and Dirt"/"9 Bullets" 45rpm 7". This was given to me by PH back in the day when I lived in Athens. Since I didn't have a decent record player until this year, I never played it. No sense in ruining this beauty with my crappy Audio Technica cartridge. I also have those songs memorized because I saw them being played countless times before PH formed Drive By Truckers and many times thereafter. He even taught me the bass parts when he was running solo and I I got my first bass, so I never felt it necessary to play this(until now, which I won't do). I collected a lot of 45's back in Athens and this one, being a gift from PH, has always traveled with me wherever I've lived. It's in mint as new condition, though the .03 cent plastic outer cover is a little beat up. The white paper insert/cover/artwork is in great condition, though please be warned that this cover-art is simply a white piece of paper folded in half. That is the way is was made and sold and that is how you shall get it. From what I've read, the white paper cover is the first cover and then it went to a tan paper cover in which most of the pressings went. I don't know how many were pressed in total, but I'd guess this copy is 1 out of 100 or 200? Maybe 50? Who knows. It comes with a 45 adapter which I'm certain came with it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. My reason for selling this is there are some records on my must get list and maybe put something towards the light bill. The flash on my camera is the reason for the shiny oddities on the pics. ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING. THERE WILL BE NO RETURNS ON THIS RECORD. On Oct-16-12 at 12:20:04 PDT, seller added the following information:Sorry to add this after a couple of days, but the shipping on this 45 will be based on the small priority flat rate box from the USPS, or $6.00. International bidders, after approved to bid, will be responsible for the costs of shipping to their country. I simply cannot mail this item to someone based on a $4 shipping charge and know it will be safe. Ebay only allows sellers of records to charge $4 and that's why I have it as such.
