Description
Up for auction here is a copy of the Dropkick Murphys demo tape. I'm not sure when this was recorded, but I think it was before the Tattoos and Scally Caps single, and maybe even before the Boston/LA compilation. So maybe 1996?
Songs are: Barroom Hero / Get Up / Fightstarter Kareoke (spelled that way) / Front Seat / Take it or Leave it / Skinhead on the MBTA / Streetwise Man (live) / Career Opportunities (live)
Condition is very nice: J-card shows a tiny bit of yellowing but is otherwise excellent. The tape box has a small crack in it and shows wear and tear typical for a 14-15 year old tape. I'll replace the box if you really want, but I can't see the point myself. The cassette itself shows dings and scuffs from being played a LOT, but it plays fine. The label on the tape says simply "Dropkick Murphys unmixed unmastered copy" (in Mike's handwriting, I think). That label makes me think that this was one of the first copies that circulated outside the band's hands.
