Description

This is part of a big auction of Duke Records 45's that I'm running this week. There are a few cool bonus listings as well. Take a look at these and keep an eye out for a Chess/Checker/Excello auction later in October and an all-gospel auction in November.

Release: The Five Jades - Rock and Roll Molly / Without Your Love

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1958


Notes: The only single released by this group under this name. Lead singer Sonny Turner would go on to join the Platters.  This is some really good stuff, R&B leaning doo-wop with both male and female vocals. Promo text in right hand square on label.

Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in fantastic shape with no noticeable wear. Both sides play very well with almost no background noise at all. No pops/ticks/skips, etc. Labels are really clean as well with just a hint of light scuffing.  This is a top notch copy overall.
