Description

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view this auction. Please note that I do not grade my records as I find the grading system rather unreliable. What I do is give you my honest and (hopefully) accurate description of the record, sleeve and actual sound quality along with some quality pictures of the actual item for sale. All pictures are of actual item for sale. Please refer to the pictures as a visual guide to the condition of the record, sleeve etc. I do not crop pictures to hide any defects, what you see is what you get.  All records are play tested all the way through, both A and B sides, I am using an Audio-Technica LP1240 turntable with an Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge and stylus. Your own equipment could result in a difference in sound quality. All records are from my own personal collection. All records are cleaned using Spin Clean and using distilled water and the supplied cleaning fluid.

PLAYING SURFACE There are numerous surface marks, but no major scratches on both sides of the record. LABELS There is some writing and the paper within the centre has come off of the A side label, the B side label has maybe one or two spindle marks. SLEEVE This original Grapevine sleeve has definitely seen better days with lots of handling wear to the sleeve opening, mild ring wear, mild creasing/bending, several tears and the bottom has split along almost the entire length, other than that it is in perfect condition. SOUND QUALITY SIDE A Some light surface noise can be heard during the run-in and intro and again during the run-out. Once the song kicks in it plays really well with about six audible clicks and some light distortion on some of the vocals and some of the bass at the beginning. Apart from that this side plays really well. SIDE B Again, some light surface noise during the run-in and run-out, but sounds clearer than side A with the odd bit of audible surface noise now and then.
