Description
I'm an audio enthusiast occasionally selling off items from my personal collection.
This is the Classic Records 200g audiophile pressing of Duke Ellington's Blues In Orbit. I bought it new and imported it from Classic Records many years ago. It is an early Classic Records pressing and is beautifully mastered and pressed with no annoying playback faults. It is flat and nicely centred on both sides.
The record has only ever been played three times at most on my Michell Orbe turntable with SME V tonearm and AT33PTG/II moving coil cartridge so it is virtually as new. I have cleaned it for the next owner on my Keith Monks record cleaning machine.
When new, the item arrived with some small cosmetic blemishes which do not affect play, as follows:
Sleeve: the sleeve is like new but has two or three small dings to the edges which I have tried to show in the pictures. The most noticeable is a small ding half-way down the mouth of the sleeve.
Record labels: on side one, the label has two very small patches of white on the left-hand edge, where the label seems to have been rubbed away. I don't know the reason for this.
Record surface: on side two, in the 6 o'clock position, the deadwax has a bunch of hairline scratches which are only visible if you get the light in a certain direction. I have tried to show this in a picture but it is very difficult to photograph. It's as if something lightly scuffed the surface of the deadwax but again, I don't know the reason for it because it was like this on arrival. The scuff does not make any sound.
To avoid any possibility of damage in transit, the LP will be packed in a strong cardboard box with the LP taken out of its original inner and outer sleeves and packed separately in a spare inner sleeve.
