Duke Ellington My People (1963) Mono 1st Press Contact • Signed by Britt Woodman
Original 1963 mono first pressing on the Contact black & white label with red dot (Indianapolis). Vinyl plays beautifully—strong, clean sound with only scarce background noise. No pops or skips. Surfaces are clean and glossy. Graded VG+ but plays closer to NM.
Signed inside the gatefold by Duke Ellington’s longtime 1950s–60s featured trombonist Britt Woodman, inscribed “Best Wishes Britt Woodman” to the right of the personnel list. Signature placement is period‑appropriate and directly tied to the album’s recording personnel. Gatefold jacket graded VG+ with mild shelf wear, slight corner blunting, and light ring wear. Spine fully readable.
Ultrasonically cleaned and stored in new poly inner and outer sleeves.
