Description

You are bidding on an original 1968 pressing of pianist/composer Duke Pearson's "The Phantom" in Very Good condition.

Blue Note BST 84293, Liberty Records imprint

Underappreciated late 60s octet work featuring Bobby Hutcherson with challenging and funky compositions. A real Blue Note treasure featuring original Pearson compositions and others. Please note that pictures were taken at night, so the whites are not as bright as they really are.

Record sleeve front:  Very Good condition. Sturdy! This cover would actually be Near Mint if not for a bent corner in the bottom left (see picture). Otherwise everything is excellent save for 1/8" rub wear at bottom right corner.

Record:  Mint condition. Plays great. Imprints are perfect.

Side 1:  The Phantom, Blues For Alvina, Gunda Amerela

Side 2: Los Ojos Alegres (The Happy Eyes), Say You're Mine, The Moana Surf

Featuring: Jerry Dodgion, flute and alto flute; Duke Pearson, piano; Sam Brown, guitar; Al Gafa, guitar; Bob Cranshaw, bass; Mickey Roker, drums; Victor Pantojo, conga; "Potato" Valdes, conga and guiro.

Great for play or display.

Email with any questions.
