Original OZ LP released in 1984 on Polydor Records. Cat: 8237701.  

Dune was never going to be an easy film to score. Dense, overreaching, and confusing, David Lynch's interpretation of the canon of Frank Herbert surely didn't leave many stylistic decisions strolling in through the front door. Yet despite the soft rock pabulum of its past, Toto constructed a luxuriant and peculiar soundtrack that injects Dune with a barren majesty the film often failed to create on its own. The Vienna Symphony Orchestra lends these peculiar compositions a much-needed precision. Brian Eno helps out with the haunting synth hymns of "Prophecy Theme." Remarkably, Dune is perhaps the only Lynch film where one could not wish the discovery of Angelo Badalamenti to have come sooner.

Record has a few light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.


Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.


Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
