   For sale is a vinyl record by Duran Duran titled Rio, originally released in 1982 by Capitol Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers G-2F/G-2C,  followed by an etched "CBS-GA", indicating thar an early stamper was used to make this first edition at Columbia Records' pressing plant located in Carrollton, Georgia. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it away into an archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. The inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of a creased amd wrinkled corner. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of ring wear, corner blunts, edge rubs, a creased corner on the top right hand side and two pin-holes on the top seam. The spine has color loss at the corners from these blunts and in the middle from some rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with shiny, bright surfaces in a like-new condition without any smudges, surface scratches or spindle marks on the labels  I'm play grading it as Near Mint Minus because of occasional ultra low level surface noise, predominately on Side Two, but without any pops or skips from start to finish. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is one of the best copies that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.  I have a lot more New Wave/Rock records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look.
