A Critics View
The E.M.G. Monthly Letter (April 1962) listed this recording as one of the “BEST OF THE MONTH” and gave a glowing review. ”Here is a truly great performance of the New World and the orchestral playing is as good as we have heard from the fine Philharmonia……Unless you have a predilection for a particular conductor or orchestra, this new Columbia is the one to have.”
Record Condition (Play graded throughout)
Prior to playing, the record was cleaned on my Moth Record Cleaning Machine.Playback equipment comprised a Thorens TD160, Linn Basik LVX Arm with Audio Technica AT-95E Cartridge.
The record was examined in normal daylight and appears unmarked. The sleeve is extremely clean with just slight wear to the two front top corners.
Side 1
Band 1 Virtually silent surfaces throughout with no ticks or distortion.
Band 2 Occasional faint surface noise with three faint ticks followed by a further four. No distortion

I do ask that you pay the postal charges to return the record to me. The record will be supplied with a new Anti-Static (Nagaoka style) inner sleeve, and a new PVC protective outer sleeve.
