Bob Dylan Zimmerman Ten Of Swords A ten-album set of Dylan material from 1961-1966 This box set of albums was given to the original owner as a gift and he NEVER PLAYED THEM! He always had an eye on the fact that this set might be worth something someday! It has been kept carefully all these years and shows it!
Released in the summer of 1985, several rock journalists declared Ten of Swords to be the more important release. Rolling Stone gave the set a huge write up causing Columbia to pull it's ads from the magazine. Columbia saw the demand and released "Biograph" and continues to this day with the bootleg series. All records are in Perfect condtion. The collection's 134 tracks (118 different songs, more than eight hours of material) include numerous gems. A few highlights: the entire 1966 Royal Albert Hall concert [now known to be 17 May 1966 Manchester], one of Dylan's greatest performances; revealing outtakes from the seminal Bring It All Back Home and Highway 61 sessions; and a nearly eight-minute poem, "Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie," from a concert at Carnegie Hall. The recordings have been professionally packaged in chronological order, and the box includes a well-written sixteen-page booklet providing detailed notes on the material. All 10 LPs are in mint condition. Box set cover is in clean, no marks. There is a slight crease on the top left side of the back, which looks like a manufacturing defect. There is also a slight dent in the bottom corner of the back side of the box. The front of the box is in excellent shape still with its sheen; one corner has slight wear.
All record albums are sold as is and I cannot guarantee their replay quality. Stereo systems differ.
