E+ *RARELY FOUND* Edison Diamond Disc #51953:

"WHY DID DR. JEKYL-HIDE?"

-and-

"MY BABY'S BACK (Cock-A-Doodle I'm Off My Noodle)".  Both sides are wonderful novelty recordings by Al Campbell & Jack Kaufman.

This is a very rarely found Edison Diamond Disc.  I looked for more than 30 years to find this record.

*INTERESTING HISTORICAL NOTE ON DR. JEKYL SIDE*...About halfway through the recording Jack Kaufman tells Al Campbell:

"I'll have JUST ENOUGH time to go home and listen to THE NEW 40 MINUTE RECORD OF THOMAS EDISON'S!" to which Al Campbell replies: "40 MINUTES!! WOW!! THAT'S SOME RECORD!"

[This is perhaps the very FIRST recorded reference to the very short-lived 40-MINUTE Edison Long Play Diamond Discs]

Both sides play GREAT.
