E T Mensah & His Tempo's Band - Kratchi (Highlife) / Laura (Calypso) - Decca 78 WA.747
Hugely rare Highlife 78 from probably the late 1950s by legendary Ghanaian E T Mensah and his band. Mensah was the King of Highlife and one of the founding fathers of African popular music.
Originals of his music rarely turn up and when they do they're often in very poor condition. This is in excellent condition and looks barely played.
I don't have a deck that will play 78s so I can give an audio grade, but visually it's at least VG+, probably nearer Excellent and should play absolutely fine.
The yellow and silver Decca labels are in great shape, and it comes in its original brown paper sleeve.
Very rare and hugely collectable.
