Music to Backup By was published in 1969 and I purchased it just after it came out. Pages are yellowing but completely readable. Included are a couple of pictures of the pages. This was originally a tape plus tab course. Included is a CD of the tape side 1 and side 2. This course provides the player with lots of classic country pedal steel backup licks. There are 10 songs total including a couple of "West Coast" style per Tom Brumley/Ralph Mooney. The West Coast style is played using the Nashville E9th copendent as is the remainder of the songs. A vocalist is provided so that you can play along with Jeff as he demonstrates the licks. Songs are "Just out of Reach, I don't believe I'll fall in Love (classic and West coast style, Time changes everything(classic & west coast style), Another bridge to burn, Healing hands of time, I'll catch you when you fall (west coast style, It should be easier now, For the good times, another bridge to burn (west coast style. This course is as good as it gets for the player wanting to learn to backup a vocalist or play in a band.
