Description
"Concert Time" Radio Show Transcription Disc produced by The Armed Forces Radio Service. One complete 30 minute radio program on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc. This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!
"Concert Time" (Semi-Classical Replacement No. 41) radio program from May 14, 1946 featuring The ABC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Bronislaw Gimpel and piano soloist Earl Wild. Wild is introduced as "The outstanding young piano virtuoso Earl Wild"
Music includes:
"Variations On A Theme Of Girolamo Frescobaldi" by Alexandre Tarsman
"Piano Concerto In E Flat" by Franz Liszt featuring piano soloist Earl Wild in an outstanding piano performance
Disc is in Excellent+ condition with Excellent+ sound, beautiful disc with beautiful sound from a collection that has sat untouched for decades - a fine example of this disc!
