Description
CONDITION: V+ this is a relatively rare big time, big sound early ROCKER and Blues from 1949 by LONNIE LYONS and his band who were drafted from the house band at FREEDOM records and besides Lyons on a hot rolling piano, some fantastic electric guitar work by GOREE CARTER is featured and hot uncredited reed work from the band -- here we have the song "DOWN IN THE GROOVY" -- that frankly if you wanted to start a house party, this would be the first groove you dropped your needle into and on the flip side "HELPLESS" on FREEDOM 1519, a 10" 78 rpm original record -- please see photos for overall condition
This record will be securely packed in a new 12x12x4 box sandwiched between cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.
