Description
For sale is the very rare and hard to find Earth 'EARTH 2' triple lp on Autofact
this is the original version of the infamous Autofact pressing, as bought on the Earth 2003 UK tour in London.
This lp was pressed in an extremely limited quantity (some estimate around 300 copies, although the true number has never been known) by Autofact Records for sale on the Earth/KK Null 2003 european tour, with the remainder to be sold as mailorder after the tour.. as we now know things didn't exactly happen that way - you can read about the troubles between Earth and Autofact label owner Josh Hunt by looking at the following interview http://www.playlouder.com/feature/+dr-rock-vs-earth/
To the best of my knowledge, there were two versions of this pressing -
this version I am selling here which is the original version (with a small cover sticker that folds onto both sides of the sleeve) sold on the first few dates of the tour before Hunts' arrest
then there is a second version (with a large sticker on each side of the sleeve) which was sold by mailorder and to shops by Hunt shortly after Hunt was released on parole and shortly before his re-arrest.... rumour has it there's still a couple of boxes of these unsold 3xlps somewhere out there...
So, this history makes this an extremely rare and hard to find item.
The sleeve has some slight wear from storage and there is a slight crease on one side of the sticker. The inserts are mint, and the vinyl is mint/unplayed.
A fantastic item, and a shame to see it go.. I am also throwing in free of charge an Earth 'London Coming Down' black shirt size large into the package. This was bought the same night as the 3xlp, it's a bit worn, but together this makes a fantastic package for the Earth collector or drone enthusiast.
