EAST OF EDEN Snafu (Deram SML 1050) Dave Arbus RARE UK 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE original UK first pressing of "Snafu" by East Of Eden on Deram Records (February 1970).
With the release of their second album "Snafu", East Of Eden took the first of a number of musical left turns: Gone were the psychedelically-tinged landscapes of "Mercator Projected" - only to be replaced by a cut-and-paste amalgam of progressive soundbites that border on (dare I say it?) avantgarde jazz.
A magnificent, bold and exciting album with surprises at every turn, "Snafu" shows us East Of Eden at the very height of their game. Highly recommended.
GRADING:
VG++ to MINT- COVER. Near-perfect laminated front cover with no creasing, no edge wear, a perfect spine and a tight opening edge. The only slight drop of bitterness is a bit of ring wear to the rear cover. Please see photos for details.
MINT- RECORD with a few light hairlines from sleeve removal only. You will find it hard to top this copy; it`s truly a keeper.
The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "ZAL 9435 P-1W" and "ZAL 9436 P-1W" respectively. Clearly, this copy is a RARE very first UK pressing!
PLEASE NOTE: Over the next few months, we will regularly be offering a number of rarities, mainly progressive and avantgarde records: A very discerning, long-time collector friend left us his treasure chest! Not only are many of these lps extremely rare, they are almost all in MINT(-) condition - both inside and out.
As we slowly inch our way closer to spring, we will be spreading the goodies out, in no special order. Suffice to say that the best is still to come!
