Description
Recently a friend passed away, a few months ago now. His name was George Crotty, and many of you will know of him - he was a gem of a person, and aside from the obvious sadness involved in all that, he was renowned for having one of the best collections of 60's Garage, Beat, Punk & Psychedelic 7"s, EPs and LPs (especially of Australian artists) - gathered together meticulously and carefully for longer than the 36 year period I'd known him.
Mostly, he was known for his intense passion for THE EASYBEATS, and he made a point of collecting ANYTHING by them (specifically on vinyl, but paper-goods, and other ephemera too). He'd even started to write a book on them in the years before he died, and there's a LOT of his research amongst this collection and the writings too, all typewritten (he had no handle on computers really. But all that aside, and as sad as it may be, the time has come now, to divide up and sell that collection - thus this very item is one ofGEORGE CROTTY'S PERSONAL EASYBEATS COLLECTION,
...all of which will appear here over the next few weeks...and is possibly something that some of you who knew him or knew of him, would be very proud to own, I imagine. You can guarantee he loved this - he was very particular with what he kept.

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING? Yes, it is...so much so, that it doesn't even have the stereo catalogue number below the mono number on the back cover!...and a beautiful copy it is too .
Mono original with flipback cover...twelve of the thirteen tracks are Stevie Wright/George Young compositions, with "Today" being a Snowy Fleet song (he sings it too! - a great garage cut with killer punk-y guitar solo)...this album remains one of Australia's toughest garage punk LPs - way up there on the same pedestal occupied by legendary albums from STEVE AND THE BOARD, the MISSING LINKS, and MIKE FURBER AND THE BOWERY BOYS...almost every track has a roaring garage-y punked up guitar solo, with about the only exceptions being the pop-psych cuts "SAY YOU WANT ME", and "DANCE OF THE LOVERS", and the trippy psych "THE LAST DAY OF MAY" (an awesome cut!)...this is one great LP!

COVER: (M-)...I doubt you'll ever see a better copy...44 years old...and this good!...amazing...(has light rubber-stamped 'print' on back cover at bottom)...
VINYL: (MINT)...yes, it's true...as shiny and pristine as the day it was pressed!!...
LABELS: (Side One: MINT / Side Two: MINT)...there are NO spindle marks on labels...looks completely UNplayed...
