Description
This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy of the sole LP by original British punk group Eater, released in 1977. The group are best known for their goofy appearance in Don Letts' 1978 film, The Punk Rock Movie, and for their first two singles, "Outside View" and "Thinkin' of the U.S.A" (neither of which appear on their LP). The record does have 16 tracks, including covers of songs by the Velvet Underground, David Bowie, and Alice Cooper, along with a dozen originals. The jacket has some minor flaws: a ½” split in the bottom seam at the edge, light creasing in one corner and along the spine, light corner and bottom seam wear, and light scuffing along the bottom seam on the back cover (EX). The disc is clean with some mostly wispy hairline scraping, and plays with minimal surface noise (M-). The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs (spot checks) except where otherwise noted.
