Echo Magazine #1, vol. 1, published in 1959

7" folio-type magazine from 1959 with 5 flexi-discs of LP length among the pages. This magazine was designed to be placed on a turntable and played.

The most interesting thing about this particular Echo (besides its being the debut issue) is the "Gypsy" feature: 'Gypsy Rose Lee and Jule Styne preview a new musical' (recording of Gypsy Rose Lee at home, with Jule Styne on piano). This article and recording were made just prior to the soon-to-be-legendary 'Gypsy' musical making its debut performance.
