KUKUMBE / KILIMANGIARO ... 7-inch, 45 rpm OST single. Music by ROMOLO GRANO vocals by EDDA DELL'ORSO. Original Italian pressing on the RICORDI label (SRL 10781), from 1973. Near impossible to find soundtrack release from the obscure RAI television series, Le Montagne Della Luce.
One of our favourite Italian records of all time.
The amazing KUKUMBE is arguably the best and funkiest track by the Italian soundtrack diva with a fender rhodes funky jazz groove to die for. Killer rhythm hooks / sexy vocals / huge bassline / jazz horns / congas / shakers and breaks throughout. Great for DJs. Comped on UP! The Second, by Gerardo Frisina for the Schema label. KILIMANGIARO is also suberb. Very mellow, spaced-out and cinematic with dreamy scat harmony / cosmic electronics and jazzy woodwind motifs. Desirable and very rare OST 45!!!
