Description
EDDIE BOYD - " 7936 SOUTH RHODES ", Blue Horizon (7-63202) Mono, 1968.
Extremely rare, UK very first pressing LP of the classic LP by Eddie Boyd on Blue Horizon, backed by "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac".
The front laminated sleeve, matte finish light blue label and matrix numbers ending in A1 and B1 mark this out as the very first pressing.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and put in a new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner has been retained for originality- see photo)
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT (No deep/proper scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Clean labels with only the lightest of spindle trails. In daylight it looks perfectly clean, but a bright grading lamp reveals a few very faint paper scuffs and a couple of extremely faint superficial marks - as you would expect, these do not sound on playback. Plays very well indeed - strong, clear and without interruption from excessive clicks, crackles, etc... There's a minute amount of surface noise in the pressing during the silent run-in and in a couple of silences/quiet sections, but once the music starts, it disappears and it generally plays strong and clear without interuptions. Only had pretty light use in it's lifetime and has been well cared for. Not quite in museum piece territory, but still a great example or a rare original LP, ready play and enjoy as originally intended. Much much better than any inferior quality later pressing or a sterile CD reissue.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = EX- (No rips, no tears, no defacing, or heavy ring wear, seam splits, etc. But does suffer a couple of small creases in the laminate, some very light wear to the edges and corners, etc - see photos for further clarification)
