EDDIE CAVE & THE FYX - IT'S ALMOST GOOD - RARE PYE 7" 1966 / SEARCHERS Catalogue number 7N.17161. This is your chance to bid on this super rare original 7" vinyl single from 1966. It was issued on the UK Pye label by the cult Liverpool group EDDIE CAVE & THE FYX. Both sides of this disc burst with amazing mod energy & soul. In my opinion, it is one of the great overlooked singles of the decade. The disc features IT'S ALMOST GOOD c/w FRESH OUT OF TEARS. The record was produced by the Searchers drummer CHRIS CURTIS, who also had a hand in composing the A-Side. VINYL: The vinyl is in great shape considering it's age. There are some surface marks but as with all cracking Sixties pressings they do not effect the sound quality too much. There are a couple of pops & clicks but nothing that the sheer energy of the music doesn't overcome. The record comes in an original Pye company sleeve.
