During the 1950's, it was normal policy for the London label to issue its demo discs as separate one sided records making them rare and difficult to find as a matched pairing today. Here we have such a pairing from EDDIE COCHRAN as follows from 1959 under the catalogue number HLU 8944;
Disc 1: "SOMETHING ELSE with matrix # MSX 3695.
Disc 2: "BOLL WEEVIL SONG" with matrix # MSX 3696
Both copies play superbly throughout with great audible quality and remain in excellent condition with very light surface sleeve rubs and the minimum of crackle on the run-in and run-out groove. They have the solid centre and the labels are very clean on both sides other than the company applied written running times and rubber stamped catalogue number with light ring wear. Paired with an original company sleeve making this very much a top copy for the collector (see picture scans).
