Description
This 1959 release was an opportunity for Eddie Cochran fans to buy the A sides his first 4 UK singles on one convenient disc with the added bonus of the sleeve with a picture of Eddie from the film "The Girl Can't Help It" set on a red background. The later issues had an orange one. The record itself is the very first pressing from April 1959 [see bottom RHS of sleeve back] with a tri-centre rather than the subsequent pressings’ rounded types from 1960 onwards. The pictures confirm that this EP is an original and comparatively rare in such splendid condition and thus a very much sought after item.
EDDIE COCHRAN “C’MON EVERYBODY” EP LONDON RE-U 1214
Side One: C’mon Everybody / Sittin’ In The Balcony
Side Two: Summertime Blues / 20 Flight Rock
(All tracks recorded in USA 1958).
Condition:
SLEEVE is in great condition apart from light marks on the back and a tape stain as shown with some edge wear, tiny wrinkles in the laminate but there are no splits, no tears and only a small “No 7” writing on the back [top left].
RECORD is Excellent except for some light marks on the playing surfaces and some spindle wear on the centre [see picture]. These have no effect on the listening experience, which are first class. Eddie never sounded better than he did on this 45-RPM Extended Play record, which is the original UK April 1959 pressing.
