For sale here is a VERY rare LP. (especially in this condition) by EDDIE COCHRAN called "THE MEMORIAL ALBUM"  and is an ORIGINAL 1960 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press LONDON label.THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE.... THIS IS ONE OF EDDIE COCHRAN's RAREST LP's EVER, AND HARDLY EVER TURNS UP FOR SALE... TRY AND GET HOLD OF ANOTHER ONE!..NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN SUPERB CONDITION...(have a look at my photo's) THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK 1960 MONO 1st PRESSING ON THE 1st PRESS LONDON LABEL. 1st PRESS 1B/ 1B MATRIXES, AND 1st PRESS FRONT LAMINATED 2 FLIPBACK CELANESE LTD SLEEVE ... AND FIRST PRESS POLY LINED INNER DUST JACKET THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE RECORD...this is the ORIGINAL LONDON UK MONO 1st pressing from 1960 and is in SUPERB condition!..The record is pressed on a slab of THICK black quality vinyl. The Cat no. HA-G.2267 on the 1st PRESS LONDON label...(have a look at my photo's) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing..

Labels are the sensational plum/silver LONDON format in excellent condition . With the LONDON logo above the central holes on both sides of the labels to confirm that this is the very first issue of this magnificent rarity. Has some very very minor spindles. With NO damage of any kind. NO graffiti , NO rips NO tears or stickers and would therefore grade as near mint condition.!

Vinyl

Thickly pressed heavy weight  vinyl pressing with jet black mirrior like surfaces That have that just pressed look!!. A magnificent vintage classic.Against a strong halogen light and angled at 45 degrees , There are NO scratches NO surface marks with NO blemishes or  marks whatsoever!!! NO tiny faint wispy lines are visible whatsoever!!. A remarkable visual and impossible to locate in this in this condition! and would therefore grade as near as mint (if not mint)!!!! The vinyl has a beautiful full sheen which would be impossible to find on a record of nearly 50 years old!!!!....

Sleeve

First issue front lamimated 3 flipback sleeve is in very good++ condition for a record of  almost 50 years old!!!..Showing  some yellowing with just a small amount of laminate creasing at the edges and spine,with some very mild feathering  close to the opening edge and virtually NO ring wear!!!.The sleeve has NO rips,NO tears and absolutley NO graffitti whatsoever,and is a pleasure to view.The sleeve is in very good++ condition with some slight yellowing and a little grubbiness. to the reverse The Spine is perfectly straight!! there are 2 old cellotape marks to the reverse.This is a fine example of this sensational LONDON classic !!!

Raymond Edward "Eddie" Cochran (October 3, 1938[1] – April 17, 1960[2]) was an American rock and roll musician and an important influence on popular music during the late 1950s, early 1960s, and beyond.

Death

On Saturday, April 16, 1960, at about 11:50 p.m., while on tour in the United Kingdom, 21-year-old Cochran died in a traffic accident in a taxi (a Ford Consul, not, as widely quoted, a London Hackney carriage) traveling through Chippenham, Wiltshire, England on the A4. The taxi crashed into a lamp post on Rowden Hill, where a plaque now commemorates the event (no other car was involved). He was taken to St. Martin's Hospital, Bath, but died at 4:10 p.m. the following day.[2] Songwriter Sharon Sheeley and singer Gene Vincent survived the crash, Vincent sustaining injuries that would shorten his career and affect him for the rest of his life.

The taxi driver, George Martin, was convicted of dangerous driving, fined £50, disqualified from driving for 15 years, and sent to prison for six months.[4]

The car and other items from the crash were impounded at the local police station until a coroners' inquest could be held. At that time, David Harman, better known as Dave Dee of the band Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, was a police cadet at the station. He taught himself to play guitar on Cochran's impounded Gretsch[5]. Coincidentally, earlier in the tour, the same guitar had been carried to the car for Cochran by a young fan called Mark Feld, later to become famous as Marc Bolan.

Eddie Cochran is interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California.[6] A posthumous album, My Way, was released in 1964

MINT (M): Unplayed, pristine condition, often still sealed.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in almost brand new condition with no apparent surface marks, full original vinyl lustre, and no deterioration in sound quality.The cover and any extra items are in near perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and/or packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record obviously has been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and/or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably, perhaps with some distortion and/or scratches. The cover and/or contents may suffer from folding, scuffing, spine-splits, major discolouration, etc.
