EDDIE FONTAINE COOL IT BABY / INTO EACH LIFE SOME RAIN MUST FALL BRUNSWICK 05624 1956

This is a collection filler - it's not in very good condition - but is a very rare and sought after rockabilly / doo wop / rock n roll 45.    

On offer is an EDDIE FONTAINE 45rpm entitled COOL IT BABY / INTO EACH LIFE SOME RAIN MUST FALL as released on silver BRUNSWICK 05624 in 1956. Cool it baby is from the 20th Century Fox movie 'Teenage Rebel.'

This is a very rare and collectable rock n roll 45. Please note the copy for sale in this auction - from my collection - is best suited to be a collection filler – as – although it plays well [and I’ve been happy to own it] – it has marks and scuffs on the vinyl.    

The vinyl is in Good + / VG- condition on the A side which is scuffed and marked – but these are surface marks only.

The A side plays with some background crackle – but it still has a nice sound especially during the rock-a-billy guitar break. It does not stick or jump and plays right through. 

The B side has slightly more marks and scuffs and some scratches that cause it to click - and is in Good / Good minus condition only.

The B side plays with clicks at the start  – and with some crackle… and it clicks through all the sax solo - but it does not stick or jump and plays right through.

The record labels are nice and clean: it does not have an original centre so will come supplied with a 3-prong plastic spindle.

I bought this very rare rockabilly / rock n’ roll 45 over 30 years ago as a collection filler – I only ever saw this one copy over all the years I collected my vinyl 45s - and I felt lucky to own it -  sadly, I never found that elusive better copy I was hoping for…   

The record comes housed in its’ original BRUNSWICK label company sleeve.

EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.

VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.

GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.
