Japanese import limited edition 200 gram Vinyl LP. Venus Records VHJD 26. Stereo, includes insert & obi strip. COVER: NM. VINYL: NM opened but unplayed in like-new condition.
Pianist Eddie Higgins may not be a household name in the U.S., but is undoubtedly the most popular and most prolific musician in the roster of the Japanese independent label Venus Records. Since his Venus debut in 1997, Higgins has released more than 20 albums from the label. His latest is a pair of solo piano albums, a collection of standards requested by the readers of Swing Journal, the premier Japanese jazz magazine. A list of top 40 requests was presented to Higgins, and the original intention was to record material for just one album. But after completing 15 tracks on the first day, which in itself is remarkable, Higgins wanted to keep going. So, an additional recording took place the following day, and he recorded another 15 tracks.

GRADING. Grading is visual only unless otherwise stated. I go by Goldmine standards and try to be conservative. I will play grade on certain items only - it is just impossible for me to play grade everything I put on EBAY. MINT means factory sealed, never opened or played. NM is opened but in visually brand new, out-of-the-packaging clean condition. NM- is not NM! Its a grade above VG++ and below Near Mint - it does not imply perfect. In my terminology Scratches are feeler type and Scuffs are just cosmetic and usually inaudible.
