EDDIE LAWRENCE Mr Soul on Sax AUTOGRAPHED JAZZ EP rare promo record 1960s Misty Shipping Info Description Rare, obscure and autographed 33 rpm 7" jazz EP: EDDIE LAWRENCE - "MR. SOUL" ON SAX - plays NIGHT TRAIN, MISTY, HARLEM NOCTURNE and CHEROKEE; there is no label name or production company mentioned, but the record number is R-1671; includes the original picture sleeve, which is signed by Eddie Lawrence on the cover in ink; on the back are two more signed inscriptions - one is Carolyn Tyler (a review from a Nov., 1962 California newspaper says that the "Redheaded Miss Tyler is a svelte sexpot (36-24-36) who is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds and has a figure which would make Venus de Milo grind her teeth with bitter envy", and that they performed together as "The Whatnots"); the other one I can't make out - the last name might be Cashman; no printed date but circa the late 1950's or early 1960's. I couldn't find any copies of this mentioned anywhere online. It might have been a promotional item, or sold only at performances.
Condition: EX+/VG+ (vinyl is glossy with a minor scuff, otherwise clean; clean labels; the sleeve has two tiny edge tears, some minor wrinkling and a half-inch split to one edge).
