A RARE CHANCE TO HEAR THIS FAMOUS COMPOSER AND PIANIST PERFORM FOR THE EDISON LABEL. THE FIRST SELECTION SPOTLIGHTS SOME AMAZING VARIATIONS ON LISZT'S FAMOUS RHAPSODY. THERE ARE SOME INTERESTING MODERN HARMONIES THAT WERE FAVORED BY THE MODERN JAZZ PLAYERS OF THE LATE 1940'S! THE SECOND IS A BEAUTIFUL AND PLAYFUL VERSION OF "PASTORALE."
