NEAR MINT (NM OR M-) --- NEARLY PERFECT.
DEALER STOCK (DS) --- CAME FROM STORE STOCK. SHOULD BE PERFECT BUT SOME CAN SHOW SOME STOREAGE PROBLEMS. PROBLEMS SHOULD BE MENTIONED.
EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD PLUS ( E or VG+ ) A FEW MINOR PROBLEMS --- LIGHT SCUFFS, A FEW LIGHT SCRATCHES, MINOR SIGNS OF HANDLING, LIGHT SURFACE NOISE.
VERY GOOD ( VG ) -- EVIDENT GROOVE WEAR, MORE NOTICEABLE SURFACE NOISE, SOME AUDIBLE SCRATCHES, MINOR WRITING ON LABEL
GOOD (G) --- I WISH THEY WOULD GET RID OF THIS CATEGORY BECAUSE "GOOD" RECORDS AREN'T ALL THAT "GOOD". THEY PLAY WITHOUT SKIPPING, BUT HAVE SIGNIFICANT SURFACE NOISE AND GROOVE WEAR, LABEL IS WORN.
POOR (P) OR FAIR (F) --- LET'S FORGET ABOUT "FAIR" TOO. BOTH THESE GROUPS ARE DISCS YOU BUY UNTIL YOU CAN FIND A BETTER COPY. NOT VERY GOOD AT ALL WITH A LOT OF FLAWS.
