ULTRA RARE EDITH PIAF "LA VIE EN ROSE" 1st PRESS, GREAT 78RPM RECORD FOR COLLECTORS, WITH ORIGINAL COLUMBIA SLEEVE !!! NOW NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND.
READ THIS / VERY IMPORTANT : Just look at the photos to see how the extracts were recorded : on a small and very old turntable and just with the microphone of a mobile phone !!! My LENCO turntable doesn't play the 78rpm, so I can't encode them. This technique may just give you a small idea about the quality of listening of the record. The old 78 RPMs I use to sell are generally clean, but some may have background noise, depending on their age and the manufacturing process that was used. Look at, listen to and just ask for more :) !!!'La Vie en rose' was the signature song of popular French singer Edith Piaf, written in 1945, popularized in 1946, and released as a single in 1947. Initially, Piaf's peers and songwriting team did not think the song would be successful, finding it weaker than the rest of her repertoire. Heeding their advice, the singer put the song aside, only to change her mind the next year. The song was performed live in concert for the first time in 1946. It became a favorite with audiences. 'La Vie en rose' was the song that made Piaf internationally famous, with its lyrics telling about the joy of finding true love and appealing to those who had survived the difficult wartime.

Record : clean, but 70 years old ! with wear traces, but no deep or suspicious marks ! It sounds good, but with noises, just like any record from this era, but just listen carefully to each tune extract (recorded with a mobile phone!) to make your own opinion and don't hesitate for any question, it will be a pleasure for me to answer !!!
I don’t use the grading system, because of too many disputes and different interpretations (some say vg for vg+, some others say nm for ex, and finally, nobody really knows, especially for the 78 RPMs ! That’s why I prefer you to listen to extract, taken directly from the record, and look at pictures which you can enlarge). I describe things such as they are, I try to do it the best I can, but you can ask for any question, then I’ll try to give you the answer as soon as possible ! Just look at my feedbacks ! Thank you !
